When Disaster Strikes

Natural disasters don’t discriminate, but they don’t affect everyone equally. For veterans—especially those already facing housing instability or living on fixed incomes—a hurricane, flood, tornado, or wildfire can be absolutely devastating. Why veterans are particularly vulnerable during disasters:

  • Limited financial reserves
  • Housing instability
  • Isolation
  • Medical needs
  • PTSD and trauma
  • Limited transportation
  • Document loss
  • Insurance gaps

About Team Ground Zero

Every comeback has a beginning, and Team Ground Zero is where the crisis ends and the comeback begins. We specialize in rapid response during natural disasters and unexpected crises, providing immediate relief while laying the groundwork for long-term recovery.

We understand that disaster response isn’t just about the immediate aftermath—it’s about helping people rebuild their lives from the ground up. Our approach combines emergency relief with strategic recovery planning, ensuring veterans don’t just survive the crisis but emerge stronger.

We work to turn a crisis into a comeback, recognizing that while we can’t prevent disasters, we can control how we respond to them and help veterans rise from even the most devastating circumstances.
