CASS Cares is dedicated to building a stronger community that focuses on enhancing the well-being and empowerment of veterans who have experienced homelessness. We believe it is not a privilege, but a right of every veteran and U.S. citizen to have shelter, food, and clothing.
We respond to crisis head-on because lives are on the line. When rent rises and paychecks don’t stretch, when unexpected emergencies strike, we provide immediate relief while building long-term stability. Our goal isn’t just to house veterans—it’s to empower them to regain control over their lives and move from homelessness to homeownership.

Our Life-long Service Model
Crisis Intervention
When veterans come to us in crisis, we respond immediately with:
- Emergency housing assistance to prevent or end homelessness
- Basic needs support (food, clothing, hygiene products)
- Safety planning for veterans in dangerous situations
- Crisis mental health support and de-escalation
Housing Stability
We help veterans achieve and maintain stable housing:
- Emergency rental assistance and utility support
- Housing search assistance and landlord negotiation
- Move-in support including security deposits and household setup
- Ongoing tenancy support to prevent future housing loss
Financial Empowerment
We help veterans build financial stability through:
- Benefits advocacy to ensure veterans receive all entitled benefits
- Financial counseling and budgeting education
- Credit repair and debt management assistance
- Employment support and skills development
Health & Wellness
We connect veterans with healthcare and mental health services:
- VA healthcare enrollment and navigation
- Mental health treatment for PTSD, depression, and trauma
- Substance abuse treatment and recovery support
- Disability advocacy and accommodation assistance
